Early morning meet and greet with your driver guide at 4:30AM for a quick briefing ahead of a 2.5hours road transfer to Volcanoes National park. Upon arrival at the park’s office in Kinigi, enjoy a cup of coffee and traditional dances as park authorities gear up for briefing and Golden Monkey trekking etiquette to guide your journey into the jungle. After that, drive to the starting point where your trek starts. Spend the rest of your time searching in the lush vegetation at the foot of Mount Sabyinyo for a beautiful little creature found only in the high-altitude forests of Virunga Mountains Chain. You will often need to follow them as they are often on the move, jumping from tree to tree with their long tails, which is really entertaining but a little difficult to photograph! We recommend setting your camera to a fast shutter-speed to allow for low light in the dense undergrowth and to better your chances of capturing the Golden Monkeys on film. Once you locate the Golden Monkeys, spend one treasured hour with them. Hike back for a refreshment lunch before driving back to Kigali. Drop-off at your residence hotel. END OF THE TOUR!
